Officials at the Port of Harlingen may need to dredge part of the waterway after floodwaters washed silt into the channel, Director Butch Palmer said Monday. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct a survey to determine whether the port needs to remove silt from its turning basin, Palmer said.
