Marine and offshore engineering consultancy Aqualis Offshore has won contracts to provide marine warranty services to three different FPSO projects in Brazil.
Aqualis said on Thursday it won a contract with MODEC for marine warranty surveyor work on the integration of the MV29 FPSO at BrasFELS’ shipyard in Rio de Janeiro.
The shipyard was awarded a contract by MODEC for the construction and integration of nine topside production modules for the FPSO Cidade de Campos dos Goytacazes MV29 back in April this year.
Furthermore, Aqualis won a contract with BrasFELS for marine warranty services during marine operations and departure of the P-66 and P-69 FPSOs being built by the shipyard for Petrobras. The shipyard won the contract for the construction of the topside modules for the P-66 and P-69 FPSOs in 2012.
Under the contracts, Aqualis will oversee every loadout, transportation, and installation of modules and high-value equipment, plus quayside mooring and tow to the field.
Aqualis Offshore’s office in Rio de Janeiro will manage the contract and all associated work. The financial details of the contracts with MODEC and BrasFELS were left undisclosed.
Upon their completion, all three FPSOs will be installed in pre-salt fields offshore Brazil.
