Alfa Laval, a provider of specialized products and engineering solutions, has won an order to supply Framo pumping systems to a floating production storage offloading (FPSO) vessel in the North Sea.
Alfa Laval said on Tuesday that the order had a value of approximately SEK 125 million ($15 million).
The company added that the deal was booked in late March in the Pumping Systems unit of the Marine Division, with deliveries scheduled for 2018.
Peter Leifland , president of the Marine Division, said: “I am very pleased to announce another large order in a very short period of time for our Framo pumping systems. It proves our ability to meet the offshore industry’s high demands when it comes to safety.”
This latest order makes it a quartet of orders in less than a month for Alfa Laval’s Framo pumping systems.
The first Framo system ordered, valued at $8.4 million, was for installation on a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel to be built in China .
The other order two was for Framo pumping systems and emergency generators to an oil platform in the North Sea worth $20.8 million while the third was for systems for a floating liquid natural gas (FLNG) vessel to be built in South Korea worth $6 million.
