Mexican oil company Pemex will carry out maintenance work on BW Offshore’s Yúum K’ak’náab FPSO in the Campeche Bay.
Pemex last Thursday shared that the scheduled annual maintenance work on the FPSO, also known as El Señor del Mar (The Lord of the Sea), would be carried out starting Saturday, July 28, until August 4.
The shutdown will reduce daily production by approximately 95,000 barrels of crude oil and 28 million cubic feet of gas in the Ku-Maloob-Zaap field.
“…this temporary reduction has been taken into consideration from the beginning and will therefore not have a damaging effect on the annual production goal established by Petróleos Mexicanos,” Pemex said.
El Señor del Mar, has been operating in the Ku-Maloob-Zaap Field since mid- 2007.
Pemex last week said its crude oil production in the second quarter averaged 1,86 million barrels a day.
