Malaysia’s OceanMight has received a letter of award to supply a module related to the upgrade of Vestigo Petroleum’s two offshore facilities.

The letter of award was sent by Malaysia’s MISC Offshore Floating Terminals Dua, for OceanMight to deliver new ESP Module for upgrading and modification on MAMPU-1 FPSO and AJK Platform for Vestigo Petroleum.

According to OceanMight’s parent company KKB, a formal agreement for the MISC contract “shall be executed in due course.” The MISC contract is to be completed by December 2019, KKB said.

The end-client Vestigo Petroleum was established in 2013 as a subsidiary of Petronas Carigali to focus on Development and Production activities from small, marginal and mature fields in Malaysia and abroad. This is also reflected in the name of the MAMPU-1 FPSO which is an abbreviation of for Marginal Marine Production Unit.

The FPSO was launched in September 2016. It was then said that the first deployment of MaMPU 1 would be at Anjung Kecil oil field, offshore Sarawak.
