Greece-based LNG shipping company TMS Cardiff Gas said it has taken delivery of a brand new liquefied natural gas carrier.

The tanker named Amberjack LNG was delivered to its charterer, one of the major gas companies, on Tuesday, according to TMS Cardiff Gas.

Amberjack LNG is a sister vessel to LNG carrier LE Seine . TMS Cardiff Gas delivered this vessel to its charterer Total at the end of February.

The vessel built by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries is capable of transporting 174,000 cubic meters of LNG in GTT’s Mark III Flex containment system.

The LNG carrier is equipped with a two-stroke, low-pressure X-DF main engine from WinGD.

TMS Cardiff Gas currently manages a fleet of sixteen LNG carriers .

Nine of these vessels are on order in South Korea and scheduled for delivery in 2020/2021.
