Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Offshore has won several extensions in Brazil with oil majors Total and Equinor.

Solstad said on Friday that French firm Total extended deals for the Normand Swift PSV and Far Sagaris AHTS until December 2020.

According to the company, the vessels will be used to support Total’s activities in the Lapa field in Brazil.

During the charter period, Far Sagaris will be replaced by Far Scout , as it will start a three-year contract with Petrobras . It is expected that the Far Sagaris will start its deal with the Brazilian oil company during September 2020.

Along with these deals, Norwegian oil major Equinor extended the contracts for the PSV’s Sea Brasil and Far Scotsman by one year until December 2021 and six months until May 2022, respectively.

According to Solstad, these vessels will continue to support Equinor on their operation and development activities in Brazil.

Solstad announced these extensions only days after the vessel owner won work for three vessels with BP in Australia .

BP awarded deals for Normand Saracen and Far Senator anchor handlers and the Normand Leader platform supplier. At the time, Solstad stated that the vessels would support the company’s Ironbark drilling program.
