U.S. weekly offshore rig count down a notch

The number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. is down by one unit over the last week, according to a weekly rig count report by Baker Hughes Company.

The number of active offshore rigs in the U.S. is down by one unit over the last week, according to a weekly rig count report by Baker Hughes Company.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: U.S. +1 to 255 rigs

U.S. Rig Count is up 1 from last week to 255 with oil rigs down 1 to 179, gas rigs up 2 to 73, and miscellaneous rigs unchanged at 3.

U.S. Rig Count is down 613 rigs from last year’s count of 868, with oil rigs down 540, gas rigs down 75, and miscellaneous rigs up 2 to 3.

The U.S. Offshore Rig Count is down 1 to 14 down 11 year-over-year.

Baker Hughes Rig Count: Canada +12 rigs to 64 rigs.

Canada Rig Count is up 12 from last week to 64, with oil rigs up 11 to 30, gas rigs up 1 to 34.

Canada Rig Count is down 55 rigs from last year’s count of 119, with oil rigs down 52, gas rigs down 3.
