Norwegian shipping company Rem Offshore has been awarded another contract for a platform supply vessel (PSV) from Apache in the UK North Sea.
According to VesselsValue , the company was awarded a one-year contract extension plus two yearly options for the Rem Insula .
The data provided implies that the deal will start on 1 January 2021 and end on 31 December 2021.
Offshore Energy reported last week that Rem Offshore was awarded deals by Apache for its Rem Mistral and Rem Cetus PSVs.
The Rem Mistral was given a one-year contract extension plus two yearly options with Apache in the UK sector of the North Sea.
VesselsValue data shows that the deal for the Rem Mistral began on 26 November 2020 and would end on 25 November 2021. Rem Mistral is a PSV of a VS 485 MK II design built in 2012 by Hellesøy in Norway.
In a separate announcement, Rem said that Apache had also awarded its PSV Rem Cetus a one-year contract plus two yearly options. Like with the Rem Insula, this contract is scheduled to start on 1 January 2021 and end on the exact same date as the deal for the other PSV.
The Rem Cetus and the Rem Insula are both PSVs of a VS 485 MK III design, built in 2013 by Fjellstrand and Hellesøy, respectively.
It is worth noting that Rem Offshore had several vessels on a charter with Apache over the last several years.
