LNG exports from the three liquefaction plants located on Curtis Island off Gladstone edged up year-on-year in the month of February.
Shipping data from the Gladstone Ports Corporation shows that the three liquefaction plants exported a total of 30 cargoes during the month. The cargoes had a total volume of 1.97 million tons of chilled fuel.
This compares to 27 cargoes totaling 1.78 million tons in February 2020 .
February 2021 export volumes edged up from the previous month‘s volumes. To remind, the three facilities exported 29 cargoes totaling 1.91 million tons of chilled fuel.
China received 1.43 million tons of Australian LNG during the month. South Korea absorbed 361,355 tons while 126,031 tons landed in Japan.
Malaysia received 63,288 tons of Australian LNG during the month.
The LNG export plants located on Curtis Island include Shell’s Queensland Curtis LNG, Santos Gladstone LNG, and the ConocoPhillips-operated Australia Pacific LNG terminal.
