According to weekly data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), LNG exports from the U.S. increased this week, while Henry Hub prices dipped.
For the period between 18 and 24 March, in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, EIA reports that the Henry Hub spot price fell from $2.51 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $2.45/MMBtu this Wednesday.
Natural gas spot prices fell at most of the markets, as as heating season draws to an end and dry natural gas production reaches the highest level since the first week of January.
Compared to last week, LNG exports increased with 19 LNG vessels departed the United States.
Seven were from Sabine Pass, four were from Cameron, four from Corpus Christi, three from Freeport, and one from Cove Point. Their combined LNG-carrying capacity is 71 billion cubic feet.
Natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities averaged 11.6 Bcf/d, or 0.58 Bcf/d higher than last week.
