EIA: US weekly LNG export climbs, Henry Hub price follows

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration weekly report, liquefied natural gas exports from the U.S. increased another week, boosting Henry Hub prices.

According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration weekly report, liquefied natural gas exports from the U.S. increased another week, boosting Henry Hub prices.

For the period between 25 and 31 March 2021, in its latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, EIA reports that Henry Hub spot prices rose from $2.45 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $2.49/MMBtu this week.

U.S. LNG exports increased this week with 24 LNG vessels departing the United States with a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 87 billion cubic feet.

Eight LNG vessels were from Sabine Pass, six were from Freeport, five were from Corpus Christi, three were from Cameron, and two were from Cove Point.

Natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities were flat from last week’s level of 11.6 Bcf/d.
