EIA: LNG exports remain flat, while natural gas prices rise

LNG exports from the U.S. remain flat on the week with Henry Hub prices going up, according to weekly data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

In the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook report for the week between 22 April 28 April, EIA reports twenty LNG vessels that departed the United States. Seven of those are from Sabine Pass, four each from Cameron and Freeport, three from Corpus Christi, and two from Cove Point.

The 20 vessels had a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 73 billion cubic feet.

Natural gas spot prices rose in most regions this report week. The Henry Hub spot price rose from $2.65 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $2.93/MMBtu this week.

Natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities averaged above 11.0 Bcf/d for the seventh week in a row at 11.3 Bcf/d, or 0.29 Bcf/d lower than last week.
