Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports that LNG exports from the U.S. decreased this week, with Henry Hub prices rising.
According to the EIA’s latest Short-Term Energy Outlook, U.S. LNG exports decreased for the period between 23 and 29 September 2021 compared to the previous week.
17 LNG vessels departed the United States in the report timeframe. Five vessels departed from Sabine Pass, with five also leaving Freeport; four were from Corpus Christi, and three were from Cameron.
Their combined LNG-carrying capacity is 63 billion cubic feet.
The Henry Hub spot price rose from $4.83 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $5.63/MMBtu this week.
Natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities averaged 10.1 Bcf/d, or 0.35 Bcf/d higher than last week.
