In its weekly report, Energy Information Administration (EIA) says LNG exports from the U.S. went up this week, followed by Henry Hub spot prices.
U.S. LNG exports have increased this week from last week. This is according to the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook from EIA, referring to the period between 11 November and 17 November 2021.
Twenty-two LNG vessels departed the United States. Seven ships departed from Sabine Pass , and five from Corpus Christi; four each left from Freeport and Cameron, and two from Cove Point. However, there were none from Elba Island.
They held a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 79 billion cubic feet.
Natural gas spot prices also rose at most locations. The Henry Hub spot price rose from $4.58 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $4.79/MMBtu this week.
Natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities averaged 11.1 Bcf/d, or about 0.1 Bcf/d lower than last week. Total demand is up 6.8 per cent this report week compared with the same period a year ago.
