US LNG exports decreased this week while Henry Hub went up, the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed in its weekly report.
In the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook report for the week between 13 January and 19 January, EIA says 20 vessels departed the United States. This results in US LNG exports being down by five vessels from last week.
Eight LNGCs departed from Sabine Pass, four each from Cameron and Corpus Christi, three from Freeport, and one from Cove Point. They held a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 76 billion cubic feet.
The Henry Hub spot price rose from $4.59 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $4.74/MMBtu this week.
In addition, natural gas deliveries to liquefied natural gas export facilities rose to 12.8 Bcf/d, or 0.55 Bcf/d higher than last week.
