According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) report, weekly LNG exports from the U.S. dropped by four vessels week over week, followed by Henry Hub spot prices.
In the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook for the week between 5 May and 11 May, EIA reports 21 LNG vessels departed the United States. This is four less than the last reported week.
Eight LNG carriers departed from Sabine Pass, five from Freeport , four from Corpus Christi, three from Cameron, and one from Cove Point. They held a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 76 billion cubic feet.
Lower LNG exports this week could be due to seasonal maintenance at LNG terminals, including Freeport LNG and Cameron LNG.
In addition, Henry Hub spot price fell from $8.30 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $7.51/MMBtu this week.
Natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities (LNG pipeline receipts) averaged 12.2 Bcf/d, 0.1 Bcf/d higher than last week.
