According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) report, weekly LNG exports have decreased by two vessels from last week, while the Henry Hub prices went up.
In the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook report for the week between 12 May and 18 May, EIA says 19 LNG vessels departed the United States. This is two LNG carriers less than the previous week.
Eight LNGCs departed from Sabine Pass, four from Corpus Christi, three from Freeport, and two each from Cameron and Cove Point. They held with a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 73 billion cubic feet.
On the other hand, the Henry Hub spot price rose from $7.51 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $8.45/MMBtu this week. This is the highest daily price since a winter storm contributed to near record-high spot prices in February 2021.
Natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export facilities averaged 12.0 Bcf/d, or 0.2 Bcf/d lower than last week.
