Hyundai Samho picks GTT tank design for four LNG-fuelled containerships

Hyundai Samho picks GTT tank design for four LNG-fuelled containerships

Korean shipyard Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) has ordered the cryogenic fuel tanks for four new LNG-fuelled container vessels from French LNG containment specialist GTT.

These vessels will each be capable of carrying 7,900 containers. They will each have an LNG fuel tank with a capacity of 6,000 cbm.

Each LNG fuel tank will specifically feature the Mark III Flex membrane containment technology.

Hyundai Samho will deliver the containerships in the third and the fourth quarter of 2024.
