According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) report, weekly LNG exports go up to 21 LNG carriers, while the Henry Hub spot price fell week on week.
In the latest Short-Term Energy Outlook for the week between 18 and 24 August, EIA reports 21 LNG vessels departed the United States. This is two more than the last reported week.
Eight LNGCs departed from Sabine Pass, five from Corpus Christi, four from Cameron, two from Cove Point, and one each from Calcasieu Pass and Elba Island. They held a combined LNG-carrying capacity of 79 billion cubic feet.
The Henry Hub spot price fell 22 cents from $9.51 per million British thermal units (MMBtu) last Wednesday to $9.29/MMBtu this week.
Freeport LNG announced a plan for resuming partial operations at its export facility on Quintana Island, Texas, since being shutdown following an incident on 8 June. The plan foresees initial production starting in early to mid-November and increasing to a sustained level of at least two Bcf/d by the end of November, which represents over 85 per cent of the export capacity of the facility.
Natural gas deliveries to LNG export terminals in South Louisiana increased by almost 0.1 Bcf/d to 7.6 Bcf/d and were essentially flat in South Texas this week at 2.3 Bcf/d. Overall natural gas deliveries to U.S. LNG export terminals increased by 0.1 Bcf/d to 11.1 Bcf/d this report week.
