Norwegian state-owned energy giant Equinor has handed out a long-term deal to Denmark’s Semco Maritime for the provision of temporary staffing services for offshore nurses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
Semco Maritime reported on Friday, 27 January 2023, the award of a new framework agreement for the provision of temporary staffing services for offshore nurses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, which was handed out by Equinor.
Nikolaj Vejlgaard , Senior Vice President, Rig & Offshore Marine, Semco Maritime, remarked: “This is an important contract for Semco Maritime, and we are proud and humbled by the trust displayed by Equinor now awarding us with a new frame agreement. We would like to thank our onshore and offshore personnel for the efforts made in the previous contract period.
“We are also thankful to our onshore staff cooperating with our customers and maintaining a close dialogue with our employees to ensure quality deliveries on our contracts. We are looking forward to further developing the professional relationship with Equinor in the years ahead.”
The company explains that it has been providing highly qualified nurses to Equinor since 2014 and this new framework agreement entails a continuation of the cooperation until 31 January 2027 with the option of extending by 2 + 2 years. According to Semco Maritime, the long-term agreement forms a solid foundation for future collaboration.
When it comes to Semco Maritime’s recent activities, it is worth noting that the company secured a five-year deal in August 2022 with Aker BP. In November 2022, the firm also won another five-year deal with TotalEnergies for the provision of manpower and construction service to the oil major’s offshore installations in the Danish part of the North Sea.
