Dutch bunker supplier Titan has carried out liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering operation for E&S Tankers, a Germany-based joint venture between shipping companies Essberger Tankers and Stolt Tankers.

The bunkering operation took place at the port of Antwerp on January 15, 2024.

Titan’s vessel, FlexFueler001 , delivered 110 MT of LNG to the Liselotte Essberger, marking a milestone as it was the first time Titan bunkered a vessel belonging to E&S Tankers.

“This operation underscores our dedication to sustainable shipping practices and showcases our commitment to environmentally friendly solutions. We’re proud to collaborate with E&S Tankers and look forward to furthering our shared mission,” Titan said in an update.

The 6,600 dwt Liselotte Essberger is the first of four new LNG-powered parcel chemical tankers ordered by E&S Tankers.

The newbuilding was named during its first visit to Hamburg in December 2023.

Built in China, Liselotte Essberger is an ice-going (1A) chemical tanker with 16 stainless steel tanks. Crewed by 15 people, it has a length of 116.6 meters, a width of 18 meters, and a draught of 9.2 meters.
